You could not call it majestic or grand in its design, but a lighthouse is a lighthouse. While it doesn't get the crowds like Byron Bay, the Richmond River lighthouse still harks back to a different era.
Not many parks have a rail line running along side, especially in the Northern Rivers. But Apex Park in Kyogle has this claim to fame.
The East Ballina Landcare group is a part of the larger Richmond Landcare Organisation. But it sets a good example in showing that local groups who are motivated and passionate can accomplish much.

Miss Johnny, Brendan, Darrel, Victoria, Canada, Jane and Baldwin. Those are the names of the 7 Koala's being cared for by the Friends of the Koala at their care centre in Lismore, when I visited recently.
