Like most other parks, Allsop park has a kids playground with a slide and some climbing things. There is a monument in one corner to locals who served during World War I. There is also some nice tables and chairs where locals and tourists site and eat or drink.

What sets this park apart from all the others is the surroundings. There is no where else like Nimbin. At one end of the park the Nimbin main street winds it's way south. At the other end there is a cultural precinct where you will find the Neighbourhood centre, art gallery and an aboriginal cultural centre. Then you can look into the distance, in any direction, and marvel at the surrounding National Parks.

The park itself has some impressive artwork, including a hand painted local map with local businesses included for good measure. There are also some impressive sculptures which dominate the photo's of travellers passing through. You never quite know who you will run into in such a popular tourist location.

All in all, this is an impressive park to visit, because there is no where else quite like Nimbin!
